Profile
We have been established for over 30
years, incorporating a vast spectrum of talent, from "Red
Box" (avant-garde pop), who had their first publishing
contract with Trekfarm, creating the hit single, "Chenko",
right through to "Kenny
Ball and his Jazzmen", including "Saturday Night at
the Mill", the theme song for his popular television show.
Harold
Spiro and Alan Freeman, combining
the talent and experience of their separate careers in the Music
Business, created Trekfarm.
Harold Spiro was well-known as a songwriter, composing
“Little
Games” for the Yardbirds, “Long
Live Love”, the British Eurovision entry with Olivia Newton-John,
“Nice
one, Cyril”, which he also performed, with Cockerel Chorus,
and "Here We Go", the official Everton 1985 Cup Final
song.
Alan Freeman was a record producer for many artists,
including Petula Clark, and he was instrumental in establishing
Pye Records.
Although Trekfarm
has an excellent track record, we have had more success in recent
years with Russell Spiro, Harold's son, at the helm. Russell, who
now runs Trekfarm, is passionate about every aspect of the business.
He has a great eye for talent and opportunity, and will work with
his team to reach the top of the mountain.
Talent, enthusiasm and commitment
are our three key words, and now, more than ever, “We’re
on the Ball”
